In August 2010, Motown Writers Network, will be officially ten years old.
It was a decade ago when founder Sylvia Hubbard decided to start sending out a newsletter to two people who were interested in what she found on the Internet to help writers reach their literary goal.
By the end of 2000, the members had gone from 2 to 75. Today, Motown Writers Network, boasts close to 10,000 members and over 100,000 listserv that receives and looks at the information that Motown Writers Network shares to readers and writers about the Michigan Literary Community.
With the expansion of a dedicated website, social network, radio show and more, Motown Writers Network has always kept its mission to:
Help writers reach their literary goals and to connect readers to Michigan Authors.
Always free, Sylvia Hubbard, has made the network as a support to readers, writers, groups, organizations and more to connect and educate each other with support from all.
She would like to thank all the volunteers, interns and most of all members that keep this network alive and strong.
