Alison Vaughn is an awarding winning entrepreneur, award-winning author and an international public speaker. Vaughn has been honored as a Notable Women in NonProfits by Crain’s Detroit Business.
Her company, Jackets for Jobs’ is celebrating 19 years of helping over 27,000 Detroit job seekers find employment and has just been awarded the high honor of being one of the BEST AND BRIGHTEST Companies to work for in Detroit. JFJ is the charitable arm to TJ Maxx.
Jackets for Jobs, Inc. is recognized by NBC’s “Today Show”, ABC’s “The View” and NASDAQ as a worthy Organization to support!
Her award-winning book, Ms Goal Digger, Success is Sexy! was featured at the 2017 Essence Fest in New Orleans.


She is also the co-author of the book Inspired Style. The book features Vaughn and other top image experts sharing tips to help women look and be their best. She is a former Huffington Post blogger and contributes articles on image, style and business etiquette for Fresh lifestyle Magazine.
Vaughn earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and graduated from The Women’s Campaign School at Yale University, sponsored by Yale Law School
She is a Goldman Sachs Scholar and is one of Martha Stewart’s “Dreamers into Doers,” a group of entrepreneurs who have turned their dreams into reality.

Vaughn has been a pillar in the community for more than 18 years helping people transition from welfare and joblessness to employment. She has worked diligently through her Detroit-based non­profit to cultivate the success of others by providing etiquette, grooming tips, and clothing.

Vaughn, a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, is a member of the National Association of Nonprofit Associations’ Executive Board of Governors and has received numerous awards and recognition for her work.

Recently Vaughn and Jackets for Jobs was honored as ‘Metro Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For’ which are companies who distinguish themselves as having the most innovative and thoughtful resources approach.

Jackets For Jobs has been assisting clients with employment for more than 18 years and has helped 26,000 plus individuals with employment etiquette and 220,000 articles of professional interview clothing.
